Data Agency ~ An Online Exhibition
Using found data drawn from real-time tools such as webcams, streamed audio and generative programmes combined with their own sounds and visuals, the artists in this exhibition create new forms to enhance the meaning of their work. By playing with the found data, the artists reconfigure the original function of the material to invent their own new devices and tools for use in the development of work on the net.
Data Agency is produced by SCAN in association with Furtherfield and was shown at HTTP gallery throughout January, (see http://www.http.uk.net for more details)
The exhibition will remain on www.scansite.org until at least August 2005
Browser issues: We have tried hard to make this exhibition compatible for most browsers. However, each project works better in various browsers. Wherever possible, we will point this out. If you have a consistent problem in a browser, then please let us know at info@scanite.org and we will try to find a solution.
Bandwidth: Most projects will only function properly on broadband (with apologies to all dialup users).
